As a Bar Back, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the bar’s efficiency, keeping it stocked, clean, and organized. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Bar Chefs in maintaining a clean and well-stocked bar, ensuring all supplies and ingredients are readily available during service.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory, including liquor, wine, beer, glassware, garnishes, and other bar essentials.
- Clean and sanitize bar areas, glassware, and utensils throughout service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Assist with preparing garnishes, syrups, and other ingredients for cocktails, following the Bar Chefs’ guidance.
- Support the bar team during busy shifts by running drinks, clearing empty glasses, and providing quick service to guests as needed.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate with the Beverage & Service Manager or Bar Chefs when supplies need to be reordered.
- Provide exceptional service and maintain a positive attitude, contributing to a welcoming and energetic atmosphere.
- Assist with side work tasks, including end-of-shift cleanup, restocking, and preparing the bar for the next service.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including TABC regulations.
- Previous experience as a Bar Back or in a similar support role preferred, but not required.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- TABC certification required or willingness to obtain upon hire.
