City Cellars is looking for reliable and hardworking Dishwashers to join our kitchen team. As a Dishwasher, you play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen, ensuring that our guests receive a top-quality dining experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment, following health and safety guidelines.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the dish area, including scrubbing sinks, sweeping, and mopping floors as needed.
- Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment, including ovens, grills, and prep stations.
- Properly sort and dispose of trash and recycling, ensuring compliance with waste management protocols.
- Help restock clean dishes and utensils to their designated locations for use by the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- Maintain cleanliness of the restrooms throughout the shift, including restocking supplies, wiping surfaces, and ensuring sanitation standards are met.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, including checking inventory and organizing storage areas.
- Communicate with the kitchen team about any issues with equipment or dish supply shortages.
- Participate in end-of-shift cleanup duties, including deep cleaning tasks and organizing the dish area for the next service.
- Support the kitchen team by assisting with light prep work or other tasks as directed by the Sous Chef.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Dishwasher or in a similar role preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and sanitation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and busy brunch shifts.
