Job Summary:
City Cellars is seeking enthusiastic and experienced Servers to provide an elevated dining experience for our guests. As a Server, you will guide guests through our unique brunch bistro menu, delivering exceptional service and making thoughtful recommendations. With a focus on craft cocktails, wine pairings, and bistro-inspired dishes, we’re looking for team members who excel in upselling and strive to enhance the guest experience while boosting check averages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests promptly and warmly, providing an introduction to our brunch bistro menu and beverage offerings.
- Guide guests through the dining experience, making recommendations for food, craft cocktails, and wine pairings that align with their preferences.
- Utilize upselling techniques to suggest additional items, enhancing the dining experience and increasing guest check averages.
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all guest requests are communicated clearly to the kitchen and bar teams.
- Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner, maintaining attention to detail in presentation and service.
- Maintain knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and any changes to offerings, including ingredients, allergens, and preparation methods.
- Provide excellent wine service, including pouring, presentation, and making pairing suggestions to complement bistro-style dishes.
- Handle guest concerns or complaints with professionalism and a focus on resolving issues to ensure a positive outcome.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down the dining area, including side work such as polishing glassware, resetting tables, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with the kitchen, bar, and management teams to ensure a seamless and cohesive service experience.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including TABC regulations and proper food handling procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Server in a high-volume, full-service restaurant with a focus on brunch or bistro cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of food, wine, and craft cocktails, with a passion for providing exceptional service.
- Proven upselling skills and experience in increasing guest check averages.
- TABC certification required or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and guest-focused demeanor.
