Position Summary: The Line Cook is primarily responsible for prepping ingredients and assembling dishes according to recipes. The Line Cook is also responsible for ensuring that all dishes are cooked according to company standards and that all dishes are presented in an attractive, consistent manner.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Prepare all food items according to recipes and for the number of persons to be served in the most economical manner.
- Maintain a clean work environment equipped with all the necessary tools and supplies.
- Be able to accurately follow recipes, measure and mix ingredients.
- Ensure all food meets the highest standards of taste, presentation, and temperature.
- Complete all assigned prep work as necessary.
- Assemble dishes according to instructions.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ensure that all dishes are served quickly and properly.
- Look for ways to improve recipes and create new dishes.
Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience as a line cook in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen
- Working knowledge of kitchen equipment
- Ability to follow
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.50 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
