40This position is responsible for maintaining multiple conference room AV systems including courtrooms, jails, specialized forensic center, health care video systems and integrations to multiple camera and door control systems.
Position will also take part in non- AV projects supporting other networking technologies and camera systems when workload allows.
Position will write, maintain and deliver documentation and train staff on use and support of a wide variety of AV systems.
This position requires a weekly on-site presence in Wausau, Wisconsin.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Make changes to existing systems as needed including programming of room controls, digital signal processors (DSP) and codec devices, installation of additional microphones, monitors and cameras, install structured cabling necessary for proper operation following industry best practices
- Provide routine maintenance, technical support, programming changes, replacement of failed components
- Install and support interior and exterior cameras including administration of camera control systems such as Genetec Security Desk
- Troubleshoot and maintain Crestron room controls
- Troubleshoot and maintain code for DSP systems
- Provide client training and system documentation
- Work closely with internal clients to define technical requirements and create a scope of work for larger system changes and follow procurement rules to contract installations of new systems.
- Identify systems that need replacement and develop equipment budget requests
- Act as a project manager
- Oversee vendor performed cabling projects to ensure that cabling and systems are properly installed, including termination, labeling, and as-built documentation is accurate
- Administration of Webex Room kits (Webex Admin Console)
- Design, develop and test integrations between systems such as, but not limited to, Active Directory, network controls and security, door controls, interior and exterior cameras.
Required Experience:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- The role requires a solid understanding of AV equipment, system setup, and client support as well as Windows endpoints, camera security systems and structured cabling.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills on complex electronic equipment
- Strong understanding of networking and how AV equipment integrates with IP networks
- Experience with audio processors, mixers, microphones, overhead and PA systems and the cabling that is common to audio systems.
- Experience installing video, network, audio and fiber cabling. Familiarity with cabling test equipment
- Experience reading and maintaining electronic cable, construction and architectural drawings
- Experience programming Crestron and other room control systems
- Experience programming DSP systems
- Experience with Cisco Webex Admin Console and administering other Cisco devices
- Experience diagnosing problems with complex systems
- Knowledge of advanced signal flow for audio, video, and control
- Strong understanding of IP networking
- Strong Windows PC experience
- Ability to attend occasional evening meetings to provide onsite support
- Valid Driver's License and personal vehicle and ability to travel to various job sites as required
- Ability to regularly climb and work from ladders up to heights of 15 feet; lifting equipment, tools, and materials.

Minimum Training and Experience:
- Degree in electronics, IT, engineering or related field preferred
- At least 1-2 years of AV Installation experience preferred
- Experience with any of the following video conferencing solutions (Webex, Microsoft Teams, Jabber, Cisco Telepresence, Zoom, Google Meets etc.)
- Experience with Crestron and other room control systems
- Experience with a variety of DSP and audio systems
Compensation:
This position is an exempt, salaried position. The salary range is $58,697 to $65,748. Based on the qualifications and experience, there may be the potential to be hired into a higher-level AV position with a salary range of $73,923 to $82,804.
