Operations Manager
Job Summary
The Operations Management Role is focused on growing and expanding City Electric Supply’s presence with Strategic and National customers. The candidate will be working to identify and develop customers located throughout the US utilizing CES’s 550 US branches and 5 distributions centers. In this fast-paced position, the ideal candidate will need to be professional, well organized, able to solve problems, and be willing to go above and beyond to ensure the customer is satisfied with the services, solutions and products supplied.
The candidate will work directly with stakeholders to develop customer-focused solutions enabling us to provide superior service and win business. The Strategic Accounts Groups is as a centralized resource and point of contact for stakeholders enabling us to develop “outside the box” solutions and to leverage our existing nationwide branch network and distribution centers.
Below is a list of responsibilities and qualifications we are looking for this position.
Responsibilities:
· Manage Team covering all aspects of supplying lighting fixtures and electrical distribution equipment for switchgear projects.
· Manage Team to effectively review and evaluate architectural and electrical drawings
· Retain a professional/friendly business relationship and communicate effectively with customers, vendors, company sales team, estimators, and company management team
· Interact with manufacturers and factory sales reps to produce competitive and timely pricing
· Work with team to determine costs and sell amounts to maintain appropriate margins by market
· Manage Team to interact with contractors to follow up on pricing
· Compile and analyze information from vendors
· Ensure bid is inclusive of all mandatory requirements
· Manage project budgets while ensuring timely and accurate invoicing
· Identify, analyze, and solve critical problems
· Provide operation and maintenance manuals at the end of the job to recap all products specified
· Multi-task and continually prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the day
· Submittal preparation
· Maintaining up to date industry knowledge on products and solutions.
Qualifications:
· Lighting and/or Gear estimating experience is a plus
· 5 years management preferred - electrical/lighting industry preferred
· A proactive self-starter with the ability to succeed with minimal guidance.
· Ability to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external clients.
· Excellent organizational skills with an emphasis on priorities and goal setting.
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver on commitments internally and to customers.
· A desire to grow an innovative new division within CES.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $42,500.00 per year
