Construction Coordinator II
Location : Long Beach, CA
City Light & Power (CLP) is a company at the forefront of the modern-day electric utility industry. We support electrical distribution systems owned or operated by Southern California Edison, other utilities, and the federal government on military installations.
At CLP, we provide the best service, and we know that starts with the quality and professionalism of our workforce. We are looking to grow our team and seeking a Construction Coordinator for our Artesia yard location in Long Beach.
The Construction Coordinator will oversee and facilitate the installation of equipment and components for a project to ensure Contractors are fulfilling all obligations and that work is carried out according to approved contracts, specifications, and schedules.
Key Duties and Responsibilities :
- Serves as a Liaison with project management reporting on inspections, subcontracting, progress, and delays.
- Proactively identifies and works to resolve any site issues that may impede project delivery.
- Plans projects, orders materials, and tracks materials.
- Provides technical knowledge and input to assist installing contractor.
- Assists Electrical Superintendents with supervision of electrical subcontractors to ensure a safe, productive quality job is attained and costs are controlled in the field operations.
- Reviews bid package for accuracy, completeness, and electrical work scope.
- Communicate with Electrical Superintendent for immediate review of electrical information and any changes to the job.
- Ensures use of all company resources, and adherence to all company policies and state and federal regulations.
- Use of required electrical reference codes and electrical safety code publications.
- Coordinates with team to maximize production and minimize costs.
- Acts as an electrical consultant to supervisory and field personnel in the areas of expertise for transmission lines, inter-connect systems, switchgear installations, electrical circuits, power quality, and high voltage collection / distribution systems.
- Not able to hold line clearance for line crews.
