Job Summary: The Maintenance Specialistplays a critical role in supporting the maintenance and upkeep of City Mattress properties, with a primary focus on handling personal maintenance requests from the CEO. This position requires a skilled and reliable individual who is available and responsive when maintenance needs arise at the CEO’s personal residence and properties. When not addressing direct requests from the CEO, the Maintenance Specialist will perform general maintenance duties across company locations.
This role is best suited for a hands-on, solutions-oriented professional who is experienced in various maintenance trades, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and general handyman work. The ideal candidate must be trustworthy, highly responsive, and easy to work with.
Responsibilities:
- Be readily available to handle maintenance and repair requests at the CEO’s personal residence and properties. This may include general handyman tasks, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, carpentry, and other maintenance-related needs.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance at City Mattress retail stores, offices, warehouses, and PranaSleep Factory locations.
- Conduct frequent walk-throughs of properties to identify and promptly address maintenance concerns.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, equipment, and facility-related issues.
- Execute interior renovations, including painting, wall repair, and furniture installations.
- Drive a company vehicle to various locations as required.
- Maintain tools, supplies, and inventory necessary for completing tasks efficiently.
- Work independently and take initiative in addressing maintenance needs.
- Travel occasionally to locations on the East Coast & West Coast of Florida as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience in general maintenance, with strong skills in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and minor HVAC repairs.
- Must be highly responsive, adaptable, and comfortable working directly with company leadership.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel and drive a company vehicle.
- Availability for a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends and evenings, based on the CEO’s needs.
- Experience in retail, hospitality, or residential maintenance is a plus.
- Basic computer skills for tracking work orders and maintenance logs.
