What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Advisor- Part Time position at City Mission Living Stones?
PURPOSE: To functions as part of a team providing support and care in a shelter/group home setting. Assist with maintaining a therapeutic environment that promotes fairness, safety, and hope. . Provides guidance and direction to individuals to aid in successfully achieving the skills requisite for adult daily living. Ability to teach/model/coach and support individuals toward the attainment of being safe and completing their goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS-JOB DUTIES: The following duties are considered essential to the job. Qualified applicants must have the ability to perform the following duties:
1. Assess and provide for the immediate needs of new admissions to Hope House/Hope Place;
2. Assist with implementation of youth goals as outlined by Individualize Service Plan (ISP) as instructed by the Program Specialist;
3. Familiarizing youth with the rules and surroundings of the facility.
4. Complete Intake of new individuals as assigned;
5. Maintaining the general upkeep of the facility through the enforcement of house rules.
6. Assisting with the upkeep of the building by completing assigned cleaning.
7. Assisting with and managing emergency situations that may arise.
8. Utilize Safe Crisis Management Techniques in accordance with the Adolescent Program Safe Crisis Management Policy;
9. Administer Medications as needed in accordance with the CMLS Adolescent Program Medication Policy.
10. Complete daily shift notes in Precision Care Human Services Program (EHR);
11. Complete all forms, incidents reports, and items needed prior to the end of the shift in Precision Care Human Services Program (EHR);
12. Reporting to the Program Specialist any problems or concerns that may arise while in the facility;
13. Become familiar with safety, security, and emergency procedures of the facility;
14. Transportation of youth according to CMLS Adolescent Program: Transportation policy;
15. Abide by all Adolescent Program Policy and Procedures
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENT: Specific Education, Certification, and/or Licensure:
o High School Education or General Education Diploma (GED)
o Orientation and 40 hours of training annually as required by OCYF
o Clearances: National Sex Offender Registry “Yes” response FBI Clearance: “Eligible” response PA State Police Background PA Child Abuse Clearance
o Position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule.
2. ESSENTIAL JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE:
o One (1) year of experience working with people in residential settings.
o Related knowledge of human service field.
3. PREFERRED JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE:
o One (1) year of experience working with youth in a residential setting

Current CPR/First Aid/AED Course Certification
