HEAD OF EQUITY STRATEGY MANAGEMENT
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Responsible for the day-to-day oversight of our equity investment management team by implementing portfolio construction and equity optimization, developing new strategies and serving as a highly visible leader for our equity team. Responsible for advising and commenting on global stocks, asset allocation decisions and capital market assumptions. Contribute to the strategic house view, leveraging fundamental expertise in stock recommendations into a broader top-down context. Maintaining coverage and following the development of existing investment ideas and themes, while simultaneously working on new ideas. This role requires experience with quantitative investment strategies, including modern statistical techniques for strategy implementation.
What you will do
- Oversee equity platform by enhancing the process for new and existing investment strategies in collaboration with equity analysts and portfolio managers.
- Develop new platform offerings.
- Implement quantitative portfolio construction and optimization strategies designed for deployment in separately managed accounts.
- Create replication strategies designed to deliver market exposure in separately managed accounts while implementing factor-based tilts and fundamental views.
- Prepare, support, and collaborate with equity portfolio managers to shape a compelling investment offering beyond investment returns.
- Enhance quantitative approach to capital market assumptions, support the development of our house-view and investment themes and contribute to asset allocation decisions.
- Interact with and provide input on our quantitative systems and client prospecting process.
- Proactively communicate regarding portfolio and position performance and updates, and clearly describe investment thesis and ideas to investment colleagues and other constituencies.
- Communicate internally to our senior investment consultants and client-facing portfolio managers with respect to portfolio deployment such as implementation timelines, individual security prioritization and tax considerations.
- Regularly shape and develop new and differentiated investment content, including written communications.
- Regularly present to and interact with clients across all forms of media, including in-person presentations.
Must-Have*
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in mathematical finance, science, or math
- Minimum 20 years financial services experience
- Minimum 12 years of equity market investment experience recommending and/or making investment decisions across multiple strategies.
- FINRA Series 7 and 63, and 65 or 66 and 24
- CFA - Charter Financial Analyst
Skills and Knowledge
- Prior programming experience and/or data analysis
- Good knowledge of sustainability frameworks and standards
- Able to articulate complex techniques in an engaging way for clients and external or internal stakeholders effectively
- Financial and/or investment related Master’s degree preferred
Compensation
Starting base salary: $175,745 - $326,377 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
