OPERATIONS SERVICE PROJECT LEAD - CITY NATIONAL SECURITIES (CNS)
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Develops and Implements new projects and related procedures and processes to improve workflow and efficiency in regulatory, compliance, client service and operational issues. Organize and conduct training sessions, and create operational training manuals. Reports progress to CNS management and identify issues with recommended solutions as they arise. Identifies and prioritizes client issues, and oversees quality assurance testing as it relates to Wealth Management and CNS. Creates both ad hoc and scheduled reports to meet management, compliance and customer service needs.
What you will do
- Lead project manager for internal and client facing system updates and enhancements. Oversee quality assurance and compliance testing for both.
- Develop and implement new processes and procedures to improve workflow and efficiency, and in response to CNS management requests regarding regulatory, compliance, client service and operational issues as they arise.
- Identify and delineate problems with internal and client facing online systems. From a business perspective, determine the priority of fixes based on an analysis of the client base impacted (number, types and nature of clients, etc.) and compliance/regulatory concerns. Develop, implement and review with management operational response to identified and anticipated issues.
- Partners with the BATS and Digital Channel teams on new and developing client facing online applications. Identify and prioritize client issues as they arise, and oversee quality assurance testing as it relates to Wealth Management and CNS.
- Creates ad hoc and scheduled reports needed for Compliance, Finance, Operational and Regulatory needs from NFS data, and works directly with BATS to obtain and merge non-NFS data.
- Work with business management firms and other clients to understand their operational reporting, tracking and client service needs. Work with Bank Colleagues (BATS, Treasury Management, etc.), vendors and service providers (NFS, Datafaction, Zenith Information Systems, etc.) to develop solutions to meet client needs.
- Review and approve new account applications, account status changes, securities processing and servicing, and wire/check disbursements. Assist other principals in all aspects of reporting and supervision.
- Oversee all aspects of money market transfers, including the CIMMT system, processing and approval of exceptions, and reviewing colleague entered requests to ensure compliance with written policies and procedures.
- Respond to Investment Officer, Relationship Manager and Bank Officer requests regarding operational, online and general client service issues.
- Part of team that regularly reviews and updates written policies and procedures, as well as the account agreements and disclosures.
- Oversee reporting of large money movements in and out of the City National Rochdale Money Market Funds, and annually assists City National Rochdale Fund managers in December and January by monitoring daily large money movements in and out of the money market funds.
Must-Have*
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of Customer Service or Operations experience at a Broker Dealer
- FINRA Series 7, 63, and 24 licenses preferred
Skills and Knowledge
- Excellent knowledge of CNB and CNS policies and procedures, and FINRA, SEC and other regulatory roles and policies. Thorough understanding of all National Financial Systems.
- Thorough understanding of all City National Bank systems used by CNS colleagues and clients including Metavante, Services Platform, CNB Online Portal, and Client Initiated Money Market Transfers.
- Data queries and report writing, data and database management
- Strong organizational skills, flexibility and adaptability.
- Ability to multi task while tracking evolving detail.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interact with prospects, clients, and colleagues of City National Bank, City National Rochdale, and City National Securities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and the ability to work independently.
Compensation
Starting base salary: $87,027 - $138,965 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
