What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Assistant to the Mayor (Part-time) position at City of Alameda?
The City of Alameda is seeking a part-time Executive Assistant to the Mayor to manage the Mayor’s busy schedule which includes membership on national, state, regional, and county bodies, in addition to the Alameda City Council. Additional duties include constituent communication, event coordination assistance when the Mayor hosts the Alameda County Mayor’s conference this May, and other related duties.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative, shows sound judgement, has an interest in local government, and familiarity with government services. Position requires strong writing skills and verbal communication, organizational capabilities, and the ability to work in a team environment in a high-paced office.
Salary range is $35.26 to $52.08 per hour, based on qualifications, for up to 28 hours per week.
