EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Required: Bachelor's degree, from an accredited college, in business administration, public administration, finance, or similar field;Minimum of two years work experience related to grant writing and administration, preferably in federal/state/local government program administration;Master's Degree may substitute for one year of the required work experience;Or, any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilitiesValid New Mexico Driver’s License, or the ability to obtain within 60 days of employment, with a driving record acceptable to the City of Alamogordo (valid out-of-state license may be considered).

The work environment described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job;Work is generally performed in a typical office environment;The noise level in the work environment is that which is typical of an office environment;Frequent interruptions and distractions;Will require moderate physical exertion, including sitting for extended periods, standing, bending, squatting, reaching and climbing short step ladders; andLift and/or move items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds; the lifting of any object greater than fifty (50) pounds by a single individual is prohibited. Lifting objects, materials, or equipment weighing more than fifty (50) pounds require the buddy system or the use of devices designed to assist with lifting or moving. Proper lifting techniques shall be used when lifting items of any weight.
