EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Required: Associate Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field;Three (3) years of experience in Human Resources; andValid New Mexico Driver’s License or the ability to obtain within sixty (60) days of employment with a driving record acceptable to the City of Alamogordo; orAny equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Desired: One (1) year of supervisory experience.Public Sector experience.Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources.PHR and/or SHRM-CP Certification(s).Experience with NeoGov and/or Tyler software.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully;Most work is performed indoors; the noise level in the work environment is typically quiet;While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear; The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms; May require driving and off-road walking under a variety of weather conditions; required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing fieldwork. The noise level outdoors or on sites may be moderate to loud;Lift and/or move items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds; the lifting of any object greater than fifty (50) pounds by a single individual is prohibited. Lifting objects, materials, or equipment weighing more than fifty (50) pounds requires the buddy system or the use of devices designed to assist with lifting or moving.
