The purpose of this classification is to coordinate scheduling and dispatch para transit and fixed route services.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Prepares para transit schedules; coordinates duties of para transit operator.Responds to customer calls and dispatches customer pick-ups as needed; coordinates passenger trips with social service agencies; may transport passengers when other vehicles are unavailable.Answers the telephone and provides route and schedule information, takes/relays messages, and responds to customer complaints.Prepares a variety of schedules, driver manifests, dispatch logs, radio logs, memoranda, invoices, mileage reports, identification photos, and related documentation; copies, files, and/or forwards as appropriate.Sells monthly and weekly passes and para transit tickets; re-counts passenger fares and prepares bank deposit.Communicates with vehicle operators via telephone and/or two-way radio in the performance of duties.ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONSPerforms other related duties as required.
