Position Summary
Perform maintenance and repair of buildings, machinery and electrical and mechanical equipment; coordinate maintenance activities, including personnel, materials and equipment to complete assigned maintenance / site projects and perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements
Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in construction technology; and
Four (4) years of general construction or facility maintenance experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
When assigned to Aviation :
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's license or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a valid City Operator's Permit (COP) within 6 months from date of hire.
Must be able to successfully qualify for and maintain a Sunport Access Control Card as determined by the criteria set forth by the policies and guidelines of the Aviation Department and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
Preferred Knowledge
- Operations, services and activities of a general maintenance program
- Methods and techniques of general construction including both rough and finish carpentry
- Maintenance and repair methods and techniques related to a wide range of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems including drinking water systems and associated equipment
- Maintenance procedures related to general construction and maintenance tool and equipment
- Operational characteristics of a wide variety of general maintenance equipment and tools
- ARC and acetylene welding methods and techniques
- Occupational hazards and standard safety practices
