Position Summary
Provide review and inspection of barricades placed within all City public right-of-way areas; ensure safety on all the City projects and provide safe adequate access to the motoring and pedestrian public in construction zones and maintain a systematic inspection program of barricade and / or detour installations for projects in the right-of-way.

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements
Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
Associate's degree in design, drafting, or construction; and
Four (4) years of experience in construction zone and temporary traffic control
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
Preferred Knowledge
- Principles and practices of engineering
- Methods and techniques of construction plan review and development
- Principles and practices of traffic control including barricading
- Basic and advanced computer software programs to including database management.
- Methods and techniques of construction
- Principles of business letter writing and basic report preparation
- Occupational hazards and standard safety practices
- Pertinent Federal, State and local laws, codes and regulations
