Overview
In pursuit of service excellence the Events Coordinator provides an positive and welcoming environment while demonstrating a joy of interacting with the community members. This position will understand how to develop relationships with potential renters and work with them to provide a personal event experience. This person will organize the special events and private rentals from initial reservation through final event review. The position will provide exceptional customer service and foster a happy and engaged environment.
What You Should Bring
Each member of our team is accountable for the outstanding delivery of services to the community. You will work to meet the needs of our community. To succeed as a Events Coordinator, you should be upbeat, decisive, and responsible while giving customers a personal and positive rental experience. You should also be organized and possess strong leadership skills. You will have the support of and work under the direction of the Recreation Coordinator and / or Regional Program Director. The hours will vary Monday- Friday with occasional weekends outside of standard business hours.

The Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities received national accreditation from the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA). National accreditation requires park and recreation agencies to meet 155 standards representing elements of effective and efficient park and recreation operations.
Minimum & Additional Requirements
High School Diploma and three (3) years of related experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. First Aid training.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to communicate in multiple languages preferred.
