Accreditation Manager II
This position is responsible for managing, implementing, and overseeing processes that support the Office's goal of obtaining and maintaining professional accreditation and re-accreditation by the American Correctional Association (ACA), and the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). Additionally, the position ensures compliance with the annual audit requirements from the Department of Corrections by meeting standards and maintaining accurate records.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviews and interprets accreditation standards to ensure the Office's compliance; gathers, compiles, and presents all necessary documentation for compliance.
- Develops and administers an Office-wide accountability system to maintain Office compliance with ACA, CALEA and DOC accreditation standards.
- Assists the Division Commander in reviewing, drafting, revising, and updating general orders, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with accreditation standards, and Federal, State, and local laws and regulations.
- Supports the Commander in maintaining master and archival files of the agency's general orders, policies, and procedures.
- Stays informed on all aspects of the accreditation process, including changes, updates, and amendments to standards, and assesses their impact on the Office's existing policies and procedures.
- Maintains and updates the Office accreditation files, both manual documentation and electronic systems.
- Provides administrative and technical support for system maintenance, updates, and information backup.
- Develops, maintains, and updates an internal agency crosswalk; mapping standards, general orders/policies/procedures, and relevant/acceptable compliance documentation.
- Coordinates the agency’s participation in two accreditation processes, involving collaboration with agency staff and accrediting entities.
- Coordinates the agency’s participation in an annual audit by the Department of Corrections.
- Coordinates and leads accreditation work groups, identifying key members, developing action plans, assigning tasks, and establishing project timelines and deadlines.
- Provides education and training on accreditation to Office personnel.
- Attends periodic meetings and conferences hosted by ACA and CALEA.
- Posts new and revised policies in Power DMS.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Four-Year College degree and three years of progressively responsible administrative and/or management work experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Master’s degree and five years of work experience in law enforcement or corrections administration involving policy review and development.
