The Position :
The Security Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining the organization's information security program to protect data, systems, and networks from unauthorized access, breaches, and other security threats. This role involves proactively monitoring, detecting, responding to, and mitigating security incidents while implementing measures to prevent future attacks.
As the primary administrator for key cybersecurity and business continuity / disaster recovery (BC / DR) solutions, this position is critical in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization's critical data and infrastructure. Additionally, the Security Engineer collaborates with teams across the organization to align security objectives with business needs.
This role requires a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices to safeguard the organization's operations and maintain a robust security posture.
