GENERAL PURPOSE
Starters will assist the pro shop staff to organize the customers checking in to play at the starter area. To provide a level of customer service that meets or exceeds the expectations of the customer. Render assistance to the customer on a timely basis to ensure his/her complete satisfaction.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Works under the supervision of the Golf course General Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
" Assist the pro shop in the operation of the golf course.
" Check receipts for each player to ensure accuracy.
" Maintains a current daily tee sheet.
" Maintain a clean and well-organized facility.
" Be willing to learn all phases of the golf operation.
" Schedule tee times for customers when needed.
" Enforces rules and regulations related to the golf course.
" Assists the customer whenever necessary to provide an enjoyable experience to them.
" Maintain a clean cart fleet and notify proper personnel if there is a problem.
" Promote Allentown Municipal Golf Course as a full-service facility.
" Be able to operate a gas-powered range cart.
" Be able to operate the driving range picker if needed.
" Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
" Performs related work as may be required.
" Provide quality and effective customer service with courtesy and understanding to our customers, citizens, and internal departments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
A. High School diploma or equivalent
B. Equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A. Knowledge of use of I-Pad.
B. Ability to understand a golf course tee sheet.
C. Ability to follow written and oral instructions
D. Must possess physical ability to work under all conditions.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
Daily use of golf cart. I-Pad for golf course reservations. Water hose to clean carts.
