The Grant Development Manager will lead efforts to identify, secure and manage grant funding opportunities to support the City's programs, services and initiatives.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Research and identify funding opportunities from federal, state, local agencies, private foundations and corporations that align with City priorities.Develop and write competitive grant proposals, letters of intent and supporting documentation tailored to specific funding opportunities.Collaborate with internal departments to identify funding needs and gather relevant programmatic data and goals. Coordinate the grant process to solicit, gather and assemble materials (budgets, graphics, program outcomes, etc.) and submits applications by deadline.Create detailed budgets and financial projections for grant applications in coordination with the Finance Department. Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts for assigned grants or contracts in order to ensure reporting of financial data.Prepares and maintains documents and files for monitoring and audits in accordance with grant guidelines. Prepare financial and performance reports ensuring compliance with all applicable rules, regulations and monitoring project/program progress.Assist external auditors with annual audits of grants or contracts; coordinates activities with departments or divisions.Manage the full lifecycle of grants, including application submission, award management, reporting and compliance. Monitor grant performance metrics and ensure timely submission of progress reports, renewals and closeout documentation.Build and maintain relationships with grant agencies and funding organizations.Provide training and technical assistance to staff on grant writing and management best practices.Stay current on funding trends, grant regulations, and policies impacting municipalities.Maintain organized records of grant activities, proposals, and outcomes.Research, propose and draft compelling applications for City awards, accolades and special recognitions.Coordinates and participates in special projects. Other duties as assigned.Completion of the required trainings as specified within the City’s Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan.In the event of an emergency, all employees are considered essential and may be required to perform duties outside of their normal job description.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Applicants will be required to complete a Disclosure & Authorization Regarding Background Investigation, a Confidentiality Agreement and a criminal background screening.Driving history for the past three (3) years must reflect no violations of a driving related felony offense, or driving under the influence (DUI) which includes both drugs and alcohol, reckless driving, or hit and run involving an occupied vehicle or attended property, or an accumulation of traffic violations, plus three (3) points for each attendance at driving school (regardless of whether points were assessed against the license) where the penalty points do not exceed twelve (12).
