Job Overview
Under direct supervision of the Recreation Director, monitors activities of participants, issues equipment and provides program information to customers, event/program planning and marketing, (particularly for but not limited to) facilitating run event series, kids summer camp, kid focused programs and events, outdoor recreational programs and activities such as disk golf, fishing, kayaking, camping, inflatable water challenge courses. In addition, performs duties for any and all events and programs put on by the city including flyer creation, social media management, league management, league scheduling, league promotion, facility management and rental, program management and creation, community engagement programs, sponsorship relationships and management, partnership acquisitions, e-sports events, maintenance and operations of the gym and baseball/softball fields.

· Skilled and knowledgeable in planning and running Youth Programs such as our summer day camps for children 6-12
· Knowledge of planning and facilitating various fun run and triathlons
· Knowledge of customer service practices and procedures.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel. (Or Google Equivalents)
· Knowledge of computers and related equipment, hardware and software
· Knowledge of City policies and procedures.
· Knowledge of money handling practices and procedures.
· Ability to stop and go within multiple projects at once.
· Skill in oral and written communications.
· Skill in flyer creation and photoshop.
· Skill in multi-tasking during daily operations and events.
· Skill in monitoring departmental health and safety policies and procedures.
· Skill in resolving customer complaints and concerns.
· Skill in implementing departmental rule, procedures and objectives.
· Skill in organization and management of sound, e-sports equipment, cords, etc.
· Knowledge of videogaming consoles, cords, game titles, e-sport event management.
· Knowledge of tournament brackets and operations.
Knowledge of pickleball, baseball, basketball, softball, cornhole, & other sports
1. Provides customer service to all participants in activities and programs at area of assignment.
2. Registers participants and members for activities, programs and services.
3. Responds to inquiries and complaints related to programs, services and special events.
4. Distributes recreation and fitness equipment to customers.
5. Cleans assigned areas and opens and closes facilities according to established policies and procedures.
6. Monitors facility activities for participant compliance with health and safety rules.
7. Handles complaints regarding participants, coaches, officials, and spectators.
8. Operates city vehicles, mowers, equipment cognitively, precisely, and efficiently.
9. Prepares injury incident reports when needed and indicated.
10. Maintains program records including, but not limited to, daily attendance and activity records of participants.
11. Creates professional flyers and marketing to aid in the advertisement of programs and events.
12. Aids in the maintenance of the city gym and baseball/softball fields.
13. Creates and manages programs in RecDesk Software for sports registration, event registration, etc.
14. Performs, manages, and maintains background checks for volunteers and coaches.
15. Sets the Stage Line SL75 stage, sound, lighting, etc. for events.
· Reconciles receipts and cash at the end of shift.
· Maintains and updates supply list for assigned area.
· Submits departmental/program awards to NRPA/ORPS.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.54 - $15.90 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
