Minimum Qualifications:
A college degree or active pursuit of a degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Administration, Cybersecurity, etc.) is required. Proficiency in typing and basic computer skills. Strong willingness to collaborate with colleagues and law enforcement agencies as needed. Prior technical support experience or IT-related certifications are beneficial but not required.
This position is classified as an "Emergency Essential" position as described in the City of Alvin's Personnel Policy Manual. These employees may be required to remain or respond in the event of emergency conditions and be available immediately before (Pre-Impact), during (Emergency Period), and/or after the disaster or emergency condition (Post Impact/Recovery), to perform duties directly related to the emergency conditions as determined by the City.
