What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreation Leader (Part Time) position at City of Alvin?
Job Announcement:
Under the supervision of the Recreation Coordinator, this position is to facilitate recreation activities including but not limited to, community special events, senior center programs and aquatic programs. This is accomplished by providing numerous forms of customer service with the Recreation Division. Other duties include registering citizens for classes of activities, creating marketing publications for events and programs, assisting with program scheduling and various administrative services as delegated by the Recreation Coordinator. This is a part time position.
Minimum Qualifications:
One (1) year of recreation experience preferred.
High school diploma or GED required.
Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
Ability to obtain American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certification within one year of employment.
Ability to obtain American Water Safety Instructor Certification within one year of employment.
Salary:
Starting salary is $10.20/hr.
