The City of Ankeny has a need for an individual who is interested in helping maintain the golf course and surrounding grounds at the Otter Creek Golf Course. Starting wage is $18.00/hourHours are 6am-2:30pm, Monday-Friday, with some required overtime for weekend work. Position will begin in April and end in mid-November 2025. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Irrigation repair and maintenance of irrigation systems.Changing pin locations.Landscapes as directed, including mowing, string trimming, and raking sand traps.Makes regular rounds to inspect conditions, pick up trash, and remove debris from the golf course grounds.Assists in division building maintenance to keep buildings and grounds clean and neat appearing.Other grounds maintenance activities as needed.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work in extreme weather conditions.Works in field environment.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be insurable.Must be sighted.Must be able to hear normal conversation.Must be able to speak clearly at normal rate of conversation.Must be able to knee, squat, stoop, walk, and climb.Must be able to work in wet or dry trenches.Must be able to move up and down ladders and walk over uneven terrain.Must be able to lift heavy objects weighing up to 75 pounds and carries for short distances.Must keep regular and reliable attendance at work.
