What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Coordinator position at CIty of Annapolis Recreation & Parks?
Oversees and is responsible for all aspects of marketing and media tools such as press releases, flyers, brochures, ads and the quarterly program guide to promote memberships, rentals, programs, and events offered by the Annapolis Recreation and Parks Department in order to increase awareness, participation, member recruitment, and retention. Other significant duties include web site maintenance, social media advocacy, branding / image consistency, photography, and marketing staff support during special events.
Qualifications
Education and Experience :

Associate degree from an accredited college with coursework in Public Relations or related field; and two (2) years of experience in marketing or public relations.
Special Qualifications :
Possession of valid driver’s license.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of marketing and advertising;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications;
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and with activity participants;
- Ability to operate small office equipment, including copy machines and multi-line telephone systems;
Ability to operate computers for data entry, word processing and / or recordkeeping purposes.
