Positions in this class assist the Apache Junction Animal Control with a variety of jobs and tasks. This is a volunteer position and does not offer any compensation. The Apache Junction Animal Control has a variety of volunteer opportunities that include:

Time Commitment: 4-40 hours per week, or as assigned.
Days of Work Week: Monday through Saturday
Hours: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, varies by assignment. Volunteers 18 years of age or older who are accepted for assignment must consent and pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting.
- Cleaning, feeding, watering, and holistic care of all animals including companionship
- Answering telephones
- Assisting customers
- Assisting in the adoption process and completing paperwork
- Assist with rescue organizations, donation pickup, and other events
