Work Location: Erb & Mead Pools
Pay Grade: 2
Minimum Age Requirement: 15 years old
- Follow proper admission policies and procedures including opening and closing, and cash handling.
- Operate cash register computers and point of sale operating system while following cash handling policies and procedures with credit card and cash transactions.
- Collect admission fees from patrons; record additional transactions as needed.
- Sell daily admission into the pools
- Sell summer swim passes to patrons
- Inform and enforce rules of the facility
- Monitor carry-ins from patrons
- Complete necessary paperwork specific to job responsibilities
- Assist pool management staff with daily deposits
- Responds to emergency situations, following established protocols
- Work with aquatic team to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility including but not limited to the pool lobby, locker rooms and bathrooms, and pool deck
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Be at the facility, in uniform and ready to work, at the designated start of the work shift
- Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationship with fellow staff members, management staff, and the public in a courteous and tactful manner
- Attends all required staff meetings and trainings
- Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment
- Work closely with the Parks and Recreation Department staff to ensure all department and City of Appleton rules, policies, and procedures are observed and enforced
- Report directly to and perform any other duties as assigned by Pool Manager
- Minimum of 15 years of age
- Have experience and/ or ability in working with money
- Ability to make general arithmetic computations accurately and with reasonable speed
- Ability and/ or experience to work with varied age groups, including children
- Ability to take direction
- Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions
- Able to work duration of the program as assigned by supervisor
- Shall wear Parks and Recreation staff uniform per the City of Appleton dress code
