JOB
To supervise, plan and coordinate the activities and operations of the Water Distribution Division with the Public Works Department; coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, outside agencies and the general public; and to provide highly responsible and complex staff assistance to the Utility Field Superintendent.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Coordinate the organization, staffing and operational activities for the Water Distribution Division.Participate in the development and administration of the Water Distribution Division program budget; forecast funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; monitor and approve expenditures; recommend adjustments as necessary.Provide staff assistance to the Utility Field Superintendent; participate on a variety of committees; prepare and present staff reports and other correspondence as appropriate and necessary.Coordinate Water Distribution activities with those of other divisions and outside agencies and organizations.Direct, coordinate and review the work plan for the Water Distribution Division; assign and monitor work activities; review and evaluate work products, methods and procedures; meet with staff to identify and resolve problems.Work with various software tools such as Cityworks, ArcView, NeoGov and similar. Also able to work in Microsoft Office.Assist in the implementation of goals and objectives for the Water Distribution Division; apply approved policies and procedures.Other such duties as assigned or requested.
