Under general supervision, provides assistance and services related to sports and recreation to customers; supports customers with specialized facility operations; and performs various recurring administrative responsibilities such as greeting customers, responding to customer inquiries, answering a multi-line telephone and take messages.

- Assist customers with information, schedules, rules services while utilizing basic searches.
- Negotiate customer account information, apply facility and recreational policies and procedures, to perform standard data entry tasks utilizing registration software for activity and league management; and ability to collect fees through the registration software.
- Respond to multiple demands for information from the public and adjust to change with respect to the subject matter or the information need expressed in the user's inquiry.
- Assist management with the administration of routine tasks to include customer surveys, issues in the facility such as cleanliness and other issues and perform additional secretarial/administrative functions including composing correspondence.

- Work with various organizations, individuals, and other departments to accommodate needs for facility access, program information or facility orientation as well as knowledge maintaining and assisting with the maintenance of the facility.

- Knowledge of, and familiarity with print sources, online schedules, databases, and remote information access sources.
- Knowledge of how sports and recreation materials and information sources are organized.
- Knowledge of sports and recreational programs rules and regulations, ability to interpret schedules and assist customers.
- Knowledge of and familiarity with activity registrations, schedule distribution, awards, and volunteer assistance.
- Ability to easily adjust to fluctuating work levels and move within the registration system as assigned.
- Ability to perform facility maintenance such as cleaning up spills and cleaning restrooms and weight room, which may involve moving heavy equipment.
- Ability to assist in the coordination and scheduling of programs such as public events, facility rentals and special meetings.
- Ability to exercise discretion with customer records.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform a variety of physical skills, including but not limited to seeing, sorting, carrying, filing, holding, squatting, standing, bending, stooping, walking, and writing.
- Ability to operate a variety of office equipment, including but not limited to, a personal computer and associated software applications, calculator, telephone, fax machine, and copier.
- Ability to open and close facility independently.
- One year of college, plus one-year related experience.
- Customer Service experience in a recreation programs and sports management setting, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
