Building Supervisor - Arts West
JOB SUMMARY:
The Building Supervisor will be responsible for desk duties, supervise all rental activities, assist in all programs, and opening and closing procedures. This position is a part-time, year round position. It may include early morning, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
JOB DUTIES:
- Assists the Program Specialist with implementation, enforcement, and evaluation of all desk policies and rental procedures.
- Registers members, accepts fees for class registrations and special events.
- Greets members, gives tours, answers questions, and furnishes information on present and future programs.
- Makes periodic rounds of facility and the associated grounds.
- Opens and closes Arts West and secures entrances and exits.
- Attends staff meetings and training sessions.
- Reports all incidents inside and outside of Arts West.
- In charge of set-up and take-down of rental tables and chairs.
- Assists in basic tech setup and support for rentals.
- Assumes other responsibilities and performs other related duties as needed.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Meet the attendance requirements of the position, which may include some evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds multiple times.
- Prior experience or training with computers, cash registers, and phone systems.
- Knowledge of basic math skills and ability to make change accurately.
- Excellent written, oral, organizational and interpersonal communications skills.
- Completion of high school education or GED.
- Have current certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid or able to be certified upon hiring.
The City may consider any other equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
