Duties
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the efficient operation of public works services.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of public infrastructure including roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
- Manage heavy equipment operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Analyze research data collection to inform decision-making processes related to public works projects.
- Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
- Supervise staff, providing training and support to enhance performance and professional development.
- Maintain records of service requests, work orders, and project progress.
- Utilize basic math skills for budgeting, resource allocation, and project estimation.
- Conduct inspections of public works facilities to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Manage heavy lifting tasks associated with maintenance projects as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in public works management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of distributed control systems and logic controllers.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and research findings effectively.
- Experience in plumbing or related technical skills is a plus.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams towards common goals.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Must be able to perform heavy lifting as needed for various projects.
- A valid driver's license is required; experience operating tankers is preferred.

Pay: $22.06 - $29.08 per hour
