General Description and Classification Standards
Performs general grounds keeping and assists in construction or maintenance projects for assigned department.
Supervision Received
Works under direct supervision and follows standardized procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.

- Performs general grounds keeping and assists more seasoned employees in construction or maintenance projects.
- Assists in minor repairs of interior and / exterior maintenance such as carpentry, painting, and masonry to maintain facilities.
- Provides services to maintain parks availability and cleanliness for public use to include removing litter and debris.
- Mixes cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions.
- Scrubs, sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities.
- Maintains equipment and supplies.
- May utilize carpentry, masonry, painting tools and hand tools.
- Decision Making Follows standardized procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Leadership Provided None
- May utilize carpentry, masonry, painting tools and hand tools.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience
Some experience related to the duties of the position.
Preferred Qualifications - Education and Experience
One (1) year of experience in construction or maintenance preferred.
Work Environment :
Required physical, lifting, and sensory capabilities are requirements to perform the job successfully. Typical environmental conditions associated with job.
Lifting Requirements :
Sedentary work : Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Light work : Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects.
Medium work : Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Heavy work : Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Very heavy work : Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally and / or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and / or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
