General Description and Classification Standards :
The Data BI Engineer will lead efforts in researching, designing, and implementing data-driven solutions for the Department of Aviation (DOA). This role focuses on creating visually compelling and actionable insights through Power BI and leveraging the Microsoft Power Platform suite to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enable informed decision-making across the organization. The engineer will work collaboratively with Airport Information Systems (AIS) and DOA stakeholders to define and deploy
Analytics, Data Reporting, and Dashboarding solutions, fostering a culture of operational excellence and data storytelling.
The role includes contributing to all phases of Data Business Intelligence projects, from requirements gathering and design to testing and deployment. This position requires expertise in BI methodologies and proficiency with the Microsoft Power BI stack and other Power Platform tools.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications :
Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience can be substituted for educational requirements.
2. Three (3) years of experience in years of experience in data analysis and visualization.
3. Proven track record of implementing BI solutions in large, complex organizations.
Preferred Requirements
1. A Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
