General Description and Classification Standards :
The Special Projects Coordinator is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the Office of Engineering, Survey section. The Special Projects Coordinator will be responsible for managing records, adhering to company policies regarding retention, and destruction / arching of records within the Survey section. These duties will involve, but are not limited to copying and recording records, alphabetizing, processing and maintaining inventory. The ideal candidate will respond to inquiries and requests for information and meet deadlines. Any information inputted by the Special Projects Coordinator team will then be used by others for reference or reports.
This is an experienced, professional level capable of carrying out most assignments typical of the profession with limited guidance or review.
This level would be considered a promotional level and attainable by any incumbent in a work group who demonstrates the necessary knowledge, ability, and performance. Could be the only professional in this specialty in a work group.
Supervision Received :
Works under very general supervision. Depending on organization structure, may work independently with responsibility for an assigned function or program.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

- Prepare and scan files to convert drawings, contracts, reports and other record documents into electronic format.
- Once the SharePoint data repository is completed, entering record documents into SharePoint and checking to ensure the accuracy of the data that has been inputted. Organizing and managing all records and documents in an orderly manner.
- Classifying and indexing records.
- Destroying or archiving finished data / records.
- Adhere and comply with Federal laws and regulations regarding Record Retention Schedules.
- Maintaining logs of records transactions initiated by the Survey group.
- Work with electronic storage media, such as hard drives, floppy drives, and CD-ROMs.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience :
Bachelor's degree; and two (2) years of related experience is required.
Licensures and Certifications :
Valid Georgia driver's license.

Lifting Requirements :
Light work : Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects.
