THIS IS A TEMPORARY / SEASONAL POSITION Parks & Recreation Payroll Assistant (Camp Best Friends) Salary : $17.50 Purpose of Classification : The purpose of this job is to provide payroll processing assistance for the Camp Best Friends summer season. Duties include but are not limited to : Working cooperatively with administration and camp staff, provide support to the City of Atlanta Human Resources team working with the Office of Recreation, input payroll data, provide support with paycheck sorting and distribution; abide by organizational policy and procedures Essential duties and responsibilities The following duties are normal for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required or assigned. Work Delegation : Ensure the compliance of organizational policies and procedures. Process new hire and volunteer background checks. Coordinate drug screening. Coordinate delivery of all required employment documentation. Explain new hire processes and ensure compliance. Planning and Organizing : Plans and implements educational, recreational and social enrichment activities for campers. Familiarizes with camp lesson plans and implements lessons. Attends program meetings designated by supervisor.
