Laborer
$21.87- $26.14 per hour
The City of Attleboro seeks a Laborer for the Department of Parks and Forestry department who, under the direction of the working foreman, performs unskilled manual duties in the care and maintenance of City property. Duties include trimming and removing trees, cutting grass, weeds and brush; assisting the spraying for insects and vegetation; cleaning culverts, loading and unloading truck and cars. Sweeps sidewalks, rakes lawns, hauls debris, cleans public areas and operates lawn equipment and other tools. Ability to perform heavy manual labor under adverse conditions for extended periods of time. Related work as required.
40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, at the discretion of the superintendent. (Hours subject to change or extension). Works in snow and ice program. During inclement weather, hours of work may be extended.
