Marketing and Events Coordinator
Salary Range: $54,040 - $72,954
The City of Attleboro seeks a Marketing and Events Coordinator who, under the supervision of the Council on Aging Assistant Director, assists in the planning, development, coordination, execution, and marketing of programs and events for the Attleboro COA.
Duties include lead efforts in developing diverse new programs in areas of interest to older adults. Plan, execute and market events and programs for the COA. Oversee the planning and execution of at least three major events a year. Author bi-monthly newsletter, utilizing LPI formatting and facilitates mailing in a timely and efficient manner. Promote programs and events using various media resources. Create content for events, programs, and general advertisement of the COA for social media marketing. Monitor program data to ensure program offerings are diverse and participation justifies continuation. Utilize MySeniorCenter database to capture all program and event related information in a timely manner. Interact with local organizations and serve as an Ambassador of the COA, particularly as it relates to off-site programming & events. Responsible for set up and cleanup of events, including but not limited to setting up seating, moving racks of chairs and tables, moving racks of equipment (for example weights, etc.) for the specific events. Performs related work as required.
Requires Bachelor’s degree in communications and/or marketing. 1-3 years of experience in marketing and events coordinating. Must possess strong communication skills (written & oral), experience in planning and organizing events/programs; strong social and interpersonal skills, and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and their caregivers. Strong sense of curiosity and attention to detail is essential. Valid motor vehicle license and CORI check required.
Ability to operate a computer and other standard office equipment. Must be able to use Facebook, Instagram and websites to promote programs and events. Experience in Publisher and Canva. Experience with event planning is a plus with strong multitasking abilities.
