POSITION OVERVIEW
Under direct supervision, this provides housekeeping and facilities throughout the airport. Duties, Functions and Responsibilities: Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned. Provides facility maintenance, security, emergency services, general housekeeping cleaning and disinfecting services, and moving and arranging services for the airport terminal and campus. Utilizes general housekeeping tools such as brooms, vacuums, mops, dusters, etc. for sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, trash/recycle removal, etc.; operates vehicles; utilities biohazard cleanup methods and monitor/replace biohazard syringe boxes. Prepares cleaning solutions by mixing and measuring and works in conjunction with airport personnel to ensure security and safety for airport facilities; ensure security lockdown to include closets, offices, entrance and exit doors; and monitors for security branches, unattended packages, and suspicious persons and activities, etc.; reports any unsafe and suspicious activity to appropriate personnel. Ability to communicate effectively in English. Valid Texas Class C Driver License within ninety (90) days of hire.

TRAVEL
If you are selected for this position, and meet the Driver Safety Standards in the City of Austin Driver Safety Program, you may drive when necessary to multiple locations as part of your regular job duties. Otherwise, you are responsible for getting to and from these locations.

- Evacuates customers and isolates airport facilities when emergencies arise such as security breaches, bad weather, and fire emergencies; inspects trash cans for suspicious items.
- Responds to facility and event requests such as airline baggage system failures and contingencies, requests from airlines, City employees, airport tenants, biohazards and spills, and calls for lost and found items.
- Provides customer service to passengers, tenants, and visitors by providing solicited and unsolicited information.
- Performs administrative duties and responsibilities to include completing forms, logs, and personal timesheet; submitting work order requests and other requested documentation; and notifying supervisor of low inventory and work orders.
- Ensures hand sanitizers are distributed at all checkpoints and exits to reduce/prevent the spread of disease and ensures expiration dates are current.
