Capital Delivery Project Manager

Position Overview:

Capital Improvement Project Managers are at the forefront of positive city-wide transformation by managing impactful waste and wastewater projects from their conceptual stage through construction. This position demands meticulous attention to detail coupled with a strategic vision, as our project managers play a pivotal role in overseeing project scope, schedule, and budget. They are instrumental in steering projects seamlessly through every stage of design and construction, ensuring a holistic and successful project delivery. Current water and wastewater projects include Walnut Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion, Handcox Water Treatment Plant expansion, Ullrich Water Treatment Plant Centrifuge Replacement, lift station rehabilitation projects, pump station resiliency projects, and various pipeline replacement projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience reading and interpreting construction contract documents and plans for water, wastewater engineering projects.
• Experience using contract documents in resolving disputes or claims.
• Experience developing and monitoring schedules and budgets for the design and construction of utility, water, wastewater and/or civil engineering projects.
• Water and wastewater treatment facility construction management experience.
• Ability to travel to multiple work locations.
