Minimum Qualifications
Education and/or Equivalent Experience:
This position is under general direction, responsible for managing for wellness programs that integrate multiple elements, including peer support, chaplains, fitness and general health and wellbeing.
Determines program goals, objectives and resource requirements. Establishes program standards. Assists in developing, managing and submitting proposed budget forecast specific to the position’s scope. Manages, coordinates, and implements wellness programs.
coordinates and collaborates with wellness staff, APD sworn and civilian personnel, other City wellness programs, external wellness partners.
Monitors wellness programming assists in the chain-of-command evaluation of sworn and civilian performance and recommends improvements.
Completes supervisory duties in coordination with Division Manager.

Must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems ( CJIS ) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following will result in being disqualified for this position: Felony Convictions, Felony Deferred Adjudication, Class A & B Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication, Class B Misdemeanor Convictions, an Open Arrest for Any Criminal Offense (Felony or Misdemeanor), and Family Violence Convictions. - Graduation with Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field related to the job plus three (3) years of experience in a field related to the job, one (1) year of which was in a lead, supervisory, project or program management capacity.
- Experience may substitute for education up to a maximum of four (4) years.
