Position Overview: Austin Water is seeking a Scheduler Analyst for the Pipeline Engineering & Operations Support Division. This position will perform a combination of office and field tasks and will primarily be responsible for coordinating activities related to (1) large diameter water pipeline leak detection and condition assessment inspections, (2) large diameter water valve assessments, and (3) emergency response related to large diameter assets. This position will also support a wide range of other projects and operations and maintenance activities related to Austin Water’s potable and reclaimed water distribution systems. The successful candidate will serve in both lead and support roles on various Austin Water projects which will include coordinating challenging issues associated with a fast-growing city.

Preferred Experience
- Experience with operations and maintenance of water distribution system pipelines, valves, and other assets with emphasis on large diameter (24 inches and larger); managing and/or inspecting construction and/or service contracts related to water distribution system assets; coordinating with multiple work groups both internal and external; and providing training and guidance to Austin Water personnel
- Possession of a Class C Water Distribution License (or higher), or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment
- Experience interacting with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to project managers, engineers, construction inspectors, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, O&M staff, and water distribution system customers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word); Adobe Acrobat and/or Bluebeam; and Infor Public Sector ( IPS ) or similar database for managing water distribution system assets, service requests, and work orders
- Ability to travel to more than one work location
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours to support emergency operations. On-call duty for a one-week duration on a monthly basis will also be required.
