The City of Azle is seeking two dynamic candidates to fill part-time positions (2) for our new Food Truck Park called The FeedLot.
This position does require the ability to work nights and weekends/irregular schedules; under 20 hours per week; and encompasses a combination of indoor and outdoor tasks and responsibilities.
FLSA NonExempt : $17.00 HRLY
SUMMARY OF CLASSIFICATION
Under the general direction of the Director of Planning and Development, this part-time position will be responsible for the seamless operation of our food truck park and other special events ensuring the satisfaction of both vendors and attendees alike.
BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the preparation of department programs and policies, cost estimates, planning and budget requests for the operation of the FeedLot.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Recruit and schedule a diverse range of food trucks for each weekend event.
- Act as the primary point of contact for food truck operators, addressing inquiries and providing necessary information.
- Coordinate with relevant authorities, including permits and fire department, to ensure compliance and safety standards are met for food trucks operating at The FeedLot.
- Facilitate the inspection process and secure annual permits for food trucks operating within the City of Azle.
- Monitor daily vendor payments and enforce no-show fees when applicable.
- Open and close The FeedLot facility each weekend, overseeing tasks such as locking/unlocking electric pedestals, ensuring restroom trailer functionality, and managing lighting systems.
- Maintain and manage The FeedLot's social media accounts, including timely responses to messages and the creation of engaging content to promote events.
- Assist in the recruitment and scheduling of entertainment for special events as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in event coordination, preferably in the food service industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with food truck operators, vendors, and event attendees.
- Familiarity with local regulations and permitting processes related to food service operations is preferred.
- Proficiency in social media management tools and platforms.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to accommodate event schedules.
- Enthusiasm for creating memorable experiences and fostering a vibrant community atmosphere.

Work Environment
The employee works on-site at the outdoor food truck park so may be exposed to extreme weather and noise levels at times; but also works in an office environment.
OTHER CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Must be available at least one hour before each event to render service before, during and after the event and be willing to work flexible schedules requiring irregular hours and weekends.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION
High School diploma or equivalent.
