POSITION SUMMARY : The host / hostess is responsible for checking in and managing the seating of all guests, both reservations and walk-ins. You should be knowledgeable, attentive, and focused on providing the best possible service in a fast-paced environment. You should be efficient, reliable, and perceptive with excellent communication and time management skills.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Promptly and warmly greets and directs guests to their tables based on availability or desired seating arrangements.
- Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Answers phones and schedules reservations as needed.
- Helps restaurant staff by setting and clearing tables; replenishing water; and serving beverages as needed.
- Assists staff with side work, including, but not limited to, cleaning windows, stocking menus, sweeping around the bar, etc.
- It helps create an overall enjoyable dining experience and promotes a safe, clean, and neat environment for guests and other associates.
- Bussing tables as well as bringing out meal orders if waitstaff are busy.
- May perform other duties as assigned by management.
