What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper- University Hospital position at City of Baltimore, Mayor's Office of Employment Development?
To perform various and assorted tasks associated with the functions of instructional housekeeping. Tasks may include cleaning of surfaces, movement of furniture, bed making, trash handling, and other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education:
- High School graduate or GED preferred.
Experience:
- 3 to 6 months institutional housekeeping experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Bending, stooping, kneeling standing and walking. Use of all limbs and extremities. Good eyesight. Lift 50-75 pounds
Working Conditions:
- Good. Generally, but not limited to work indoors in well-lighted and ventilated areas.
Qualifications
1. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form.
2. Ability to effectively use electronic equipment such as pagers, radios, and other items necessary to provide housekeeping services.
3. Ability to work well with others and under time constraints.
4. Ability to effectively and efficiently receive and follow written or oral instructions.
5. Ability to work independently.
6. Basic knowledge of infection control procedures and universal precautions.
7. Ability to promote and facilitate a culture of service and operational excellence and to model these behaviors.
