Retail Pharmacy Technician
Assists pharmacist(s) in all areas of pharmacy operations, including prescription preparation, sales transactions, customer service, and purchasing and inventory maintenance
- Receive new prescriptions and refill requests from patients, either in person or by phone
- Enter patient information and prescription detail accurately into the pharmacy computer system
- Retrieve medications from inventory, counting and verifying quantities carefully
- Prepare labels with accurate patient information and medication details
Customer Service:
- Greet customers promptly and professionally
- Answer patients questions regarding medications and refill procedures
- Assist patients with insurance billing and copay calculations
