SALARY RANGE: $70,338.00 - $112,807.00 ANNUALLY
BACKGROUND CHECK
Eligible candidates under final consideration for appointment to positions identified as positions of trust will be required to complete authorization for a Criminal Background Check and/or Fingerprint must be successfully completed.
PROBATION
All persons, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a mandatory 6-month probation.
ELIGIBILITY
Qualified candidates will be considered for vacancies as they arise, for a period of at least six months. The decision of the Director of Human Resources with respect to acceptable minimum qualifications is final.
EDUCATION ACCREDITATION
Applicants’ education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Education credentials obtained out of the US must be evaluated for US equivalency. Evaluation agencies information may be obtained at www.naces.org.
CLASS DEFINITION
An End-User Support Specialist I, entry-level, provides on-site technical support for end-user hardware (laptops, printers, tablets, mobile devices) and peripherals, software (COTS, GOTS, Web) audiovisual display systems, and wireless. Work of this class does not supervise.
Incumbents receive close supervision from a technical superior. Employees in this class work a conventional workweek, subject to evening or weekend work as required. Work performed in an office where working conditions are normal. Work requires minimal physical exertion.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
On or before the date of filing the application, each candidate must:
EDUCATION: Have an associate's degree in a computer-related field, from an accredited college or university.
AND
EXPERIENCE: Have one (1) year of related technical experience.
EXPERIENCE: Have one (1) year of related technical experience.
OR
EQUIVALENCY NOTES: Have an equivalent combination of education and experience. Technical credentials may be substituted for six months of experience or education. Multiple certifications may receive additional credit towards education/experience.
KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to work as a member of a team or independently
- Build, maintain and update standard OS images using SCCM
- Create and maintain software deployments using SCCM
- Build and deploy third party driver and software updates for laptops and desktops
- troubleshooting skills and support for mobile devices
- Must have strong IT troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good Judgement, clear communication skills, and the ability to help others
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATES:
- Apple Certified Macintosh Technician Certification
- CompTIA Network or equivalent certification
