SALARY RANGE: $43,901.00 - $69,639.00 Annually
BACKGROUND CHECK
Eligible candidates under final consideration for appointment to positions identified as positions of trust will be required to complete authorization for a Criminal Background Check and/or Fingerprint screening and must be successfully completed.
PROBATION
All persons, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a 6-month mandatory probation.
Position Overview
The Baltimore City Health Department is currently seeking a detail oriented driven individual to fill the role of Contract Coordinator within the Department of Finance. This is a full-time position with responsibilities that include performing well at high pace environment. Work will not include supervisory responsibilities. This is a grant funded position.
Essential Functions
EDUCATION: Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
AND
EXPERIENCE: Have three (3) years of experience in contract support work.

Essential Functions
- Prepares contract books and plans for printing and advertising and issues them to contractors, private utilities and other City agencies.
- Explains and interprets contractual procedures to contractors, consultant architects and engineers and/or City agency personnel.
- Informs contractors of changes in plans and specifications.
- Updates, amends and distributes contract books, plans and catalogs and maintains files of all documents related to a contract.
- May schedule and prepare meeting agenda, maintain records and analyze costs for the Civic Design Commission and Architectural and Engineering Awards Commission of similar groups.
- May maintain database of Requirement Contracts and their status; may notify parties of impending contract expirations.
- Responds to inquiries from Federal, State and City agencies, vendors, contractors and the general public; resolves problems and discrepancies.
EDUCATION: Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
AND
EXPERIENCE: Have three (3) years of experience in contract support work.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Ability to audit contractor's estimates, invoices and extra work orders.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret and explain City contract procedures.
- Ability to maintain records.
- Ability to establish satisfactory working relationships with others.
- Knowledge of construction, general commodity or services contract practices and procedures.
