SALARY RANGE: $43,901.00 - $69,639.00 ANNUALLY
BACKGROUND CHECK
Eligible candidates under final consideration for appointment to positions identified as positions of trust will be required to complete authorization for a Criminal Background Check and/or Fingerprint must be successfully completed.
PROBATION
All persons, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a mandatory 6-month probation.
Summary Of Position
The Hire Up Worksite Supervisor is responsible for the recruiting, onboarding, and supervision of Hire Up participants and partner worksites including the directing, coordinating, and evaluating of participant’s activities as well as ensuring the effective operation of the Hire Up Program as a transitional job’s initiative.
This is a one-year temporary position.
Essential Functions
EDUCATION: An associate’s degree preferred.
AND
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years supervising employees and a minimum of 1 year of HRIS and/or HR administrative experience.

Essential Functions
- Liaison between MOED, MONSE, and worksite partners to ensure effective operation of the Hire Up transitional jobs initiative
- Collaborates with Hire Up project managers to post job openings, schedule interviews, and make offers to all Hire Up participants
- Onboards and offboards all Hire Up participants into HRIS System Workday
- Collects and reports timesheets of participants for non-city agency worksite participants timely Partners with City of Baltimore Central Payroll for all payroll related incidents.
- Works in concert with worksite representatives to ensure participants follow best workplace practices and the City of Baltimore’s polices
- Enters services into Maryland Workforce Exchange (MWE) Conduct worksite visits with worksite partners Completes daily reports and paperwork related to the administration of the Hire Up program. Reviews reports for accuracy and completeness
- Interacts with worksite partner representative and supervisor for communication and support
- Represents the Hire Up program and the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement (MONSE) in a professional manner at meetings and special events
- Communicates information regarding the activities of the Hire Up program to senior personnel as required
- Assist Career Coach with onboarding new participants including job readiness training and training of new Hire Up new hires to ensure uniformity in carrying out program mission and values
- Carries out these and other duties and responsibilities deemed necessary by the Hire Up Project Manager and MONSE Transitional Jobs Program Coordinator to accomplish the goals and objectives of the program.
EDUCATION: An associate’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years supervising employees and a minimum of 1 year of HRIS and/or HR administrative experience.
- Must be willing to work outdoor environments
- Must be willing and able to travel to multiple worksite locations
- Must be computer literate. Knowledge of MS Office preferred.
- Strong writing skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with the public
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds
